چکیده
We have studied the properties of impulsive geomagnetic disturbances, which are observed synchronously at network induction magnetometers Institute Solar-Terrestrial Physics (ISTP SB RAS) and Canadian stations CARISMA project [Mann, et al., 2008]. A feature pulses we detected is that their frequency range (f~5–30 Hz) lies junction ranges two known classes electromagnetic oscillations: ultra-low-frequency (ULF) oscillations (f<5–10 Hz), or pulsations, extra-low (ELF) (f~30–300 Hz); therefore, 5–30 Hz poorly studied. The work undoubted interest for physics processes in magnetosphere–ionosphere–atmosphere system. Morphological analysis has been carried out using data from ISTP stations. As a result, obtained statistical characteristics pulses, plotted dynamic spectra, determined number unusual distinguish them, on one hand, pulsations pulsed type (irregular Pi1B type), and, other higher ELF VLF signals (atmospherics, whistlers, etc.). On basis results, made an assumption source under study can be electrical sprites caused by powerful thunderstorms middle low latitudes. Using results Wang, al. 2019 spatial temporal fixation North China, confirmed ultra-short-period occur following emergence sprites. Thunderstorm activity, both local global, considered to main sources excitation ionospheric Alfvén resonator (IAR), plays important role coupling ionosphere magnetosphere. may agents through energy transferred IAR, thereby including atmosphere system considered.

Ultrashort Pulses
Ultrashort pulses usually are defined as those lasting less than a nanosecond. Low-energetic ultrashort pulses can be used, for instance, as a probe for studying the dynamics of ultrafast processes. Amplifying these pulses can deliver extremely high peak power, allowing applications such as laser particle acceleration, or γ-ray generation via Compton scattering on relativistic electrons. Existi...
متن کاملTailored-Beam Ultrashort Laser Pulses
Laser pulses with picosecond and femtosecond durations are now indispensable tools in many scientific disciplines. These ultrashort pulses provide unique temporal resolutions for investigations of phenomena taking place in comparable time ranges. In addition, optical energies squeezed into such short time windows yield extremely high peak powers and intensities, paving the way to generate unpre...
متن کاملPropagation of ultrashort laser pulses through water.
In this paper, propagation of ultrashort pulses through a long 3.5 meter water channel was studied. Of particular interest was the attenuation of the beam at various lengths along the variable path length and to find an explanation of why the attenuation deviates from typical Beer Lambert law around 3 meters for ultrashort laser pulse transmission. Laser pulses of 10 fs at 75 MHz, 100 fs at 80 ...
متن کاملCompressive inverse scattering using ultrashort pulses
Inverse scattering refers the retrieval of the unknown constitutive parameters from measured scattered wave fields, and has many applications such as ultrasound imaging, optics, T-ray imaging, radar, and etc. Two distinct imaging strategies have been commonly used: narrow band inverse scattering approaches using a large number of transmitters and receivers, or wideband imaging approaches with s...
